In Sunday’s first squad Juhani Tonteri had a strong performance and he bowled himself into the final with a score of 1405. Sanna Oksanen bowled to the second in the squad with a score of 1302 and Emma Palermaa was third, 1268.
Tonteri claimed his place to the final with his second attempt.
– In the previous game I didn’t throw well, but now my performance was much better and I was able to make a good result.
Juhani kept up well with the changes in the tracks.
– I managed to keep up with the changes very well. I was able to make most of the changes today with the release, he said.
The final place is certain, but Juhani couldn’t say yet whether he will play again in the qualifiers.
– Next week we’ll see how the situation develops. After that I’ll make the decision.

In the squad there were special prizes for the three best women and the three best players with an average of under 200. The women’s awards went to Sanna Oksanen, Emma Palermaa and Stella Lökfors. The best player with an average of less than 200 was Jyri Brander, second was Mila Nevalainen and third was Marika Näivö.
