IHC went back to real action after a day off. The first squad of the day was a special set for super senior bowlers, but Niko Oksanen was responsible for the best score of the squad.
Niko Oksanen finally managed to score a goal for the final on his third attempt. Oksanen had a bit of a slow start to his game with the first two games being 196 and 187. After this Niko found a way to break the pins. He scored 244, 279, 193 and 269 in his last four games. With a final score of 1369 he is currently sixth in the competition.
The following places also went to non super senior bowlers. Joonas Jehkinen came in second with a score of 1302 and another left-hander Leevi Saikkala was third with 1296.
Oksanen was pleased with his result but not so much with his performance.
– I got a better reaction now and therefore I got some big series. I don’t feel that I played better than in the previous squads.
Niko made small changes to his game idea compared to his previous performances.
– Now I tried to keep the game simple. The differences between the lanes might not have felt so big for me. I played big games with Purple Hammer so at least it went well among bowls, he told.

Super senior awards were given to bowlers over 60 years of age. The best bowler in the final game of the series with a whopping 269 was Timo Raatikainen with a score of 1204, second was Jukka Peltonen with 1181 and third was Olli Hossi with a score of 1173.

The next squad starts at 6 p.m.
