In Tuesday night’s squad, Luukas Väänänen had the best control on the lanes and he bowled the second best score of the qualifying with 1441 points.
Luukas Väänänen got the game going right at the start of the set and threw top scores of 276, 258 and 258 in his first three games. He had 792 points in the halfway point of the game so with a decent performance a place in the final was practically certain. Luukas managed to play the rest of the game well and summed up the squad win with a score of 1441.
Joonas Jähi bowled to the second place in the squad with a score of 1367. He already had a result of 1376 points, so this time he couldn’t improve his result. Also Roni Leskinen and Santtu Tahvanainen threw over 1300 points, Roni 1348 and Santtu 1324.
Väänänen played two games on Tuesday as he was already involved in the day squad.
– The first game was a test game. For the second game I found the right idea from the start, so there were good strikes.
Luukas was able to use his strengths at the beginning of the game.
– I got a good reaction to my ball by throwing more directly and with a coarse ball. I had to switch the ball and move significantly higher in the fifth set.
Luukas will be seen again in the qualifiers on Saturday.
– There is a game for the national team groups then, so I will play there, he said.

Calculated limits after seven squads: 12th place 1368 and 41st place 1268.
The tournament continues on Thursday with two squads. The first one starts at 2 p.m.
