Sweden’s James Blomgren, the 2021 World Champion, had the best score in the second squad of the Brunswick Ballmaster Open on Friday. He got scored 443 points and he will be seen in the final at this year’s tournament.
The 16th squad of the tournament started with a 300 game. This time it was Marc Jacobs. The Dutchman played well but in the last set Blomgren passed by.
Blomgren was relieved to win a place in the final.
-You have to make a good result to qualify for the final but I think the lanes here are definitely not easy,” he began.
James has made it far in the tournament many times but still hasn’t enjoyed the victory.
-“I’ve never won a BM Open so my expectations are high.
The Swede is always happy to come to Tali.
-I think this is the nicest bowling center in Europe so it’s quite nice to play here.
James scored 1443 points which puts him 16th in the tournament at the moment. Jacobs scored 1416 points so he also has a place in the final if the scores don’t start to rise in the final rounds. Elliot Moulin was the third with 1409 points, while Anton Ahlgren was the fourth, starting the sixth game with ten strikes. 11th shot went a little too far off the oil and the second bowl was left standing. If he had made a strike on the 11th shot, the result would probably have been enough for the final, but now he has to wonder whether his 1400 points will be enough for the final. Brandon Bohn also bowled the same score in the squad.
