Squad 14: Zeno Janssen was the best of Thursday night

At Thursday night young German bowler Zeno Janssen bowled the best score in Brunswick Ballmaster Open with a score 1473 which is good enough for the final round. In the squad two 300 point games were seen and overall there has now been 12 perfect 300 point games in the tournament.

Zeno Janssen was in the lead throughout the squad and there hardly were any weak moments. He started his games with scores 278, 233 and 247. The score at the halfway point was 758 points. Even after this the bowls fell well and Janssen had a total score of 1473. With this result he is currently in seventh place in the tournament and he is firmly heading for the top 16 and straight into the second step of the final.

Zeno Janssen was delighted to receive his final score already on Thursday.
-“I feel great and I already like the Tali Bowling Center a lot, I’ve heard a lot of good things about this place,” Zeno said.

Janssen has respect for the oil pattern, even though the score level is high.
-You can make a big score here, but I still don’t think the lanes are easy. You have to be careful while playing,” he concluded.

There was also success among other bowlers in the squad. Tali’s young bowling stars Leevi Saikkala and Karo Hilokoski were placed next in the squad with scores 1456 and 1455.

In addition to Janssen, Saikkala and Hilokoski, Enzo Franco, Jonas Dons, Patrik Päiviö and Tobias Byrde also played over 1400 points.

The perfect 300 games in the squad were bowled by Enzo Franco and Lauri Kivioja. Leevi Saikkala bowled 299 points in the evening squad.

After 14 squads, the calculated final score to be in the top 38 is 1410. For squads 1-8 the score is now 1406, for squads 9-13 it is 1398 and for squads 14-16 the score is currently 1407.

On Friday three squads will be bowled between every four hours starting at 10 o’clock.
