In terms of results, Sunday’s second squad was not in the same level than the previous squads. Santtu Juutilainen was the only one to make it to the finals.
In his first performance Santtu Juutilainen bowled very close to the final competition limit with a score of 1413. Juutilainen’s game was consistently good as the weakest game was 222 and the second best game was 237. In the fifth game he hit a big score, 279.
Juutilainen, who works as an entrepreneur at Tikkurila’s bowling alley (Tixi Bowling), has enjoyed himself in the Tali lanes in recent years.
– This is an international top tournament so you always want to do well here. I got a good result even though there were also some weaker frames, Juutilainen said.
He characterized the oil pattern as a very typical BM-open oil pattern.
– Especially in the beginning I had to get the ball early to the lane so that I could get the pins to go. Anyway this kind of bowling is fine for me, he continued.
Juutilainen hasn’t had time to play much lately but he will play this year’s qualification at least once more.
– I have a reservation for tomorrow so after work I’ll come to play, he told.
Petteri Salonen, who recently became a senior, bowled second in the set with a result of 1385 and Kert Truus came in third with a score 1361. Kert Truus has already made a better result before.
The sixth squad was also a special squad for those with an average of less than 200. Mikko Nieminen was the best with a score of 1298, Santtu Nieminen was second with 1298 and Verneri Kettunen was third with 1286 points.
The tournament continues on Monday with two rounds, the first starts at 11 o´clock
