The Brunswick Ballmaster Open 2025 got underway on Friday with a sqaud that started at 11 a.m. There were 53 players on the lanes and the squad was the first squad for young bowlers.
The winner of the 2019 Brunswick Ballmaster Open, Joonas Jehkinen, scored 1422, which will also be enough for the final competition. Jehkinen was in a relaxed mood, as always.
– It was a good result, but a fluctuating game, especially in the beginning. Of course, you have to be satisfied with the final result, Joonas said.
For Joonas, the Ballmaster Open has a special place in his heart.
– This is the best tournament I have ever participated in. This is 26 years in a row and I will participate every year, as long as I bowl, he concluded.
In the squad Juho Rissanen scored 11 strikes in his first game. On the last roll, however, 8-10 pins were left standing, so the 300-extra still has all the money to share.
It is also worth noting that Arttu Järvinen was responsible for the most consecutive strikes, as he made 18 strikes in a row. He started his fourth game with spare but after that he made only strikes until fifth games eight frame where he left 10-pin.
Jonne Kaisku, Santtu Kaarlela and Antonio Valtonen made up the top three trio among the young bowlers.
