The third squad of IHC featured special prizes for youth. The best result was made by Aatu Tapanimäki, he scored 1324 points.
In Saturday’s second squad there weren’t big scores and only one person, Aatu Tapanimäki, scored over 1300 points. Aatu’s game was consistent, every games was over 200 points but big games were missing except for the first gamess of 246. He still won the squad with a score of 1324. Simon Tissarinen who won the previous squad came now second with a score of 1295. Estonia’s Siim Henrik Saar was third with a score of 1267.
Tapanimäki was disappointed that there were no strikes row.
– I hit the pocket well but there were no longer strikes so I didn’t score higher.
This was Aatu’s first performance in IHC this year.
– I watched the previous squad to see where the bowlers were playing from and that’s how I built a game idea for myself. I executed it quite well but the ball changes could have been faster, he said.
Tapanimäki will be seen on the courts again in this year’s tournament.
– I’ll play again next Saturday, he said.
The best in the junior special squad was Tapanimäki, second was Tomas Tissarinen with 1199 points and third was Topi Myllymäki, 1156.
The tournament continues on Sunday with two squads, the first of which starts at 11 am
