Squad 1: Pyry Puharinen bowls a top score

The 3rd International Hammer Challenge started on Friday in Tali and immediately there were great results. The best result was scored by Pyry Puharinen, who bowled a top score of 1525. That makes an average of 254.2. Puharinen’s series were 267, 250, 264, 278, 265 and 201. Tomas Käyhkö was the second in the set with a score of 1391 and Nooa Vilokkinen was third, 1385.

Puharinen was naturally satisfied with his game.
– It was a good game and there was also luck on my side, as I got a few lucky falls in good spots.

Pyry played practically the entire game with one ball.
– I made myself a new ball for this competition, the Brunswick Mindset. The ball worked great and it’s good to continue from here.

Although Puharinen now has a result that qualifies him for the final competition, he still plans to play in the qualifiers.
– The situation will definitely change when more top players come to the lanes.

The qualifiers will continue on Saturday with two rounds, the first of which will be bowled at 11:00.
