Ziga Zalar took the lead in single
Ziga Zalar from Slovenia scored 1438 and took the first place in the first squad of boys single. He started with an 300 game and continued well four more games. Only the last game was low, 177. "I made my personal six games record and my first 300 game, so I am very satisfield", he said. "I just got six new bowling balls for this Championships and also my parents are here supporting me, that gives me mental stability, he contiued. "My coach and team mates are also very supporting and I knew, that I have a change to get a medal. At the end I was fighting also for a medal in all events, but there was a lot of excitment and preassure in that moment", Ziga said.
Niko Oksanen from Finland was stronly on the first place, until in fifth game he made only 163. His total in six games was still 1384 and that is enough for the all events gold. No one can reach him any more. In sigle he is now second, just before Brent de Ruiter from the Netherlands. On the fourth place is Oleksandr Nechypaiev from Ukraine, but his result 1353 might not be enough for the semi finals.
Niko won the all event also last year in Reykjavik. Berfore the second single squad Niko's team mate, Jesse Ahokas is second and Ronan van der Loo from the Netherlands third.
